Alpina area

Post by stevo///m3 » Sat May 28, 2016 11:58 pm

This may well have been done (to use a phrase) but is there, or can there be, an "Alpina" area?? I love seeing pics, their slightly different threads on which oil, suspension, that rear wing etc. There are a good few cars on here, can't we all just look at them with pics and that...? Might help with some oily stuff too...

Just a thought (that I would love to see done).

Perry could take all his jokes in there.

Would be quiet in there though with only a few members.

Well, there is an //M specific area...

I dont know how many Forum members have ///M's but I would guess there's only about a dozen Alpinas on here.

- Perry
- Zedwheels
- Big Red Cat
- RJBaz 3.2
- Markeg
- Merbrook
- Rich Hill
- SamUK (selling)
- Toledo
- Alpina boy
- AlpinaRoadster
- TwiggyPom
- Number 5
.....And I bet I've forgotten someone !

Perhaps Marlon could do a Poll on it !

Personally, I think it would be a good idea - but I admit to a certain amount of bias....

Whilst a lot of the Alpina RS information and problems are common with the rest of the E85/6 models, there are a number of significant differences and the RS probably diverges as much from the 'standard' E85 as the ///M does

As to whether this difference is enough to warrant the work required in creating a new sub-forum is a question only sp3ctre can answer but, with a new addition to the family, he's probably got quite a lot on his plate at the moment...

It would make things easier, when tracking down Alpina-specific stuff (recent alternator/HG posts come to mind...)

And the Alpina Forum is pretty useless,. Unless you drive a B10 or D3, they're just not interested. :(

In order to make it work people would have to identify Alpina specific threads such as those and ask the mods to move it to the new area...

Agreed Perry, but that can happen when they're found/remembered. The presence of the area would definitely make things easier going forward!

And then people get pissy because a non Alpina owner has ventured in and "posted in the wrong section"....like what happens in the M camp occasionally. :poke:
