My new E89 35i - in love!
I've posted on here before asking for advice - now I actually have the car!
Picked up this 2009 manual 35i with only 29K miles on the clock last friday.
I think, honestly I got a bit of a steal here - I'll explain after I post some photos!
So in the time between first seeing the car, buying it and today...I've noticed a few things. A few things the dealer seems to have not noticed themselves (In a good way!) and they didn't mention on the advert. For instance, I have the Professional hifi system (there are speakers everywhere - it's fantastic!), comfort access (and the thing where I can open the roof using the remote), adaptive suspension, it also has something called "Pure White Design" which as far as I can tell, involves a lot of extra white leather.
And blimey is it fast! My last car was a Toyota GT86, and now I know what this thing you call Torque is!
I have a few mods planned, but will leave it a few months before I get stuck in with modifying. Glad to be joining you all!

Thanks! It's amazing how few 35i's seem to exist with manual gearboxes! Maybe their owners just don't want to sell them?!pvr wrote: And a proper gearbox as well

Re: My new E89 35i - in love!
Ok! Been with the car for a week now - loved every second of it! Even did a top down drive to manchester and back from Suffolk and worked out I averaged 38mpg, which I was pleasantly surprised with considering it was hardly an economy run, if you catch my drift
Cleaned her yesterday and took some pictures:
Also it turns out the story of "dealer didn't know what he was selling" continues, as in the glovebox among the documents I find a receipt for £1,900 spent in 2011 at Bird's Auto, for 30+ hrs of Dinan engine tuning. I thought the car felt rather spritely, and apparently it was dyno'd by Bird's at 366bhp, and 421ft-lb. Choo choo
What a machine!
