Z4M RHD-LHD Conversion from Germany

Post by Monaco84 » Wed Mar 29, 2017 1:24 pm

Hi,

my name is patrick and I am from cologne (Germany). Last spring I bought a monacoblue z4m coupe from the UK and drove it up to germany.
In summer 2017 I converted the car so that it became a LHD and I performed some modifications.
Since my garage is full of RHD parts, I would be happy to find someone from the UK who might have use of these parts (Steering rack, interior trim, pedals, dashboard, carbon leather trim, etc.)

My z4 history goes back to 2009 when I bought a Z4 3.0i roadster.

I will post some updates and pictures soon

both correct.

Was a pain in the a... and the car was in pretty bad shape. Had to solve a lot of things in addtion to the conversion (1x tyre mounted wrong to hide a defect, seat belt tensioners already triggered, missing oil cooler, ...).

but i wanted to individualise the whole car according to my wishes and an german car in good shape would have been to expensive...

hard to say, since a friend of mine did the conversion, I had already had a couple of z4m parts from my former Z4 project and I had a friend that provided me with parts due to a salvage of his car....
Biggest problems: TIME = car was in the garage for months, wiring = if you dont have a correct LHD wiring, it's a pain in the a... , condition of the car = many problems have to be solved in addition to the conversion
