Hi all !
Been reading this forum for a couple of months, great help when looking for a z4.
Just recently sold my 520 and went for a Z4 -04 2,2ltr. Only driven in summertime before, with 59k km on the meter. Black, with red leather, pro stereo, satnav and manual gear of course! You can say i've gotten 'some' attention... Love it
But the weather in Norway hasnt been the best, kinda lack of sun... So one morning I woke up and decided to drive south until i found the sun. After two days I found it in Switzerland. A week roundtrip with a total of 4200 km.
Waiting for the ferry to Denmark:
Arrived in Switzerland, near Lake Geneva. Yes, you CAN go camping with a z4 !!
The bottom of Furka Pass. Steep hill? Check out the bus..
And a few more from the top of the pass:
,
And I was of course inspired both of the Top Gear 'driving road'-episodes, and this mountain pass was also featured in the Goldfinger movie..
Did run into a small problem though.. When I arrived in Denmark and could speed up (the first 300km in Norway has a max speedlimit of 80km/h), the car started to rumble and shake when exceeding 120/130 km/h. Okey, maybe the previous owner didnt balance the tires accurate enough? Went to Bauer Rims in Flensburg to fix it, just to realize the tires were flat. Not without air, but litteraly flat !! The previous owner who had it stored during wintertime obviously never moved it during the winter, so the tires had become flat underneath. Gotta love a 600£ expense in the start of the wacation.... But in any other way, a great experience!
