Excited to be joining the ranks!
Hi All, Just a quick intorduction.
First off I am what I'd consider to be part of the younger end of the Forum 22 So please excuse me if I am a little nieve when it comes to certain topics.
In the process of purchasing my very first Z4!
I look forward to getting to know some of you more!

I have got two vehicles in mind, one of which will soon be mine!
I am just in discussions with insurance companies about the prices of the different engine size.
The two im looking at are
- E89 30I Msport 2011
- E89 23I 2011
I've driven the TT and SLK as well as a few others but nothing quite made me smile when I got into the first Z4.

Hi, I think the popular vote would be for the 3litre as it costs no more to run but performs betterMarekdawg wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2017 12:37 pm I have got two vehicles in mind, one of which will soon be mine!

Welcome to the forum
An e89 3.0i is definitely the way to go over the 2.3i if the insurance permits and you want that bit of omph!
the additional performance is considerable for almost identical running costs, bit of a no brainier
be interested to see what the insurance costs, mines just gone up £45 to £275! So you can tell maybe that I'm out at the other end of the age spectrum

Welcome along!
I'm 24 with a E89 20i, absolutely love it!
Don't rule out the 20i... mines beeen remapped to 260bhp and still achieving 40mpg! Cheaper tax bracket that the 23i too
Something to consider

Hi and welcome OP.
Another owner at the other end of the age spectrum to you!
If the insurance is affordable you could do worse than trying a 3.0 as all the other running costs are similar.

Thanks all for the comments! Done my research and seem to have found the one, because of my age its a bit of a sting when it comes to insurance! looking at roughly £100-£140 per month. Not ideal but wasnt far from what i was expecting, hopefully will come down in the future and might be able to wrangle a deal out of a friend in that business... Hopefully have pics to share next week!
