Roof Motor UK
To all
I really apologise if this has been covered before, but I have searched the forums and for the life of me I cannot find the answer (or I am blind)
I am looking to purchase BMW Z4 Roof Motor (Part Number 54347193448) and the Sound Insulation Housing (Part Number 54347119635) from a site in the UK. Does anyone know of any? And how much?
(BMW just quoted approx £1,500 to do this job so I figured I would give Shipkillers very descriptive 'DIY' link a go.....although need a weekend of sun and no wind)
Thanks for help, appreciated

Re: Roof Motor UK
To anyone looking at this discussion, I managed to locate the parts from Motormec (www.motormec.co.uk). They are not on their website, but if you ring them up they can supply
Roof Motor: ~£259
Sound Insulation: ~£60
Repair Kit: ~£30
Hydraulic Oil: ~£15
This is pretty good, considering I went to my local stealer on Wednesday and they quoted me ~£700 just for the Roof Motor
I have done a lot of searching on the net and the majority of places online say they do not stock the part and refer you to the stealers

Joe is usually cheaper than Motormec,I know this as I have checked prices with Joe and Motormec, considering motormec is local to me.

Cheers Navid....I left Joe a couple of messages but no call back, he must have been busy but no worries at all, and Motormec happened to call me back so just went with them

I tried Joe before Motormec (both today), Motormec just happened to get back to me quicker so just used them. Nothing against Joe
Thanks for the help though, when I rung Soper they told me Joe was the Z4 expert

Ah OK. One thing that I can agree is sometimes they can be a little slow in getting back on quotes. Hopefully he won't get back to you now with a much lower pricegovinderubhi wrote:Playalistic

the reason for late replies, would have something to do with the number of days Joe has off if he is not there talk to Jamie,he knows about the forum and is a good guy as well.

Re: Roof Motor UK
Just spoken to my local BMW dealer and got a quote for the motor and sound insulation and he said that its also worth replacing the wires that come out of the pump which cost £55. Is this worth replacing or not?
