Welcome Ulli, I lived in JHQ Rheindahlen from 1988-96, loved the place, we went back in July to visit, and we're shocked to find it had closed.
Purchased my first BMW in 1989 from Hammers in MG. :)

no I did my yearly short Service at this day. the oil cap is now back on ist place.

Basic was an 2,2 i, but I Changed the complete Engine and Gearbox in 2007 to an 3,0 one. But more in the next days.

Hi nice

when I go for a walk, I goes near the old Hospital and I meet a lot of british People, who went back for a visit. All of them are shocked too, that ist closed now.

May be, if there more People are interessted I could open a thread for more Pics from the jhq from now.

Our BMW Dealer is still there, but hes called BMW Kirsch today and I bought my Z4 also from this dealer :) .

I know Rheindahlen, my sister lived there for 3 years in the 1990s with her now ex husband - stayed with her a couple of times.

I have been approx. 20 times in Germany, great country, great roads and nice people there. 3.0i with supercharger must be lot of fun? =)

I think the same about the uK :) :)

Yes, it makes a lot of fun, because I also used an short modified rear gear from the 2.5i.
So the car wont be an high Speed racer on the motorway (not more than 258 km/h at 6800 rpm), but you have a lot of power by accelerating.

In 2004 I decided to buy my first BMW. A friend of me worked as an salesman by our BMW dealer in town at this time. So one day I went for a Cup of coffee tohim and he told me from the new faboules Z4.
He asked me if I wanna make a test drive. So, no idea why not and I drove the hole afternoon wis his Z4 across our town and village.

After this test drive, I knew: I must have a Z4 too.......

So on April 2004, I got mine Z4.
