Pleasure to be posting on here.

We purchased our 2004 Z4 3.0 in summer as a weekend car and I have to say, I'm converted. Great car, spec and sound. Granted I was after a car with a "V" engine, but this was too good an offer to pass.

No real intentions to upgrade with mods, more just improve the niggling bits, bonnet covered in stone chips, drivers side heated seat needs a new cover with element and the must have "M" steering wheel.

Anyway, it's all tucked up in the garage for winter, except for the occasional turnover and wheel rotation.

Hope I can offer some feedback to questions posted in future.

Welcome to the forum, car looks stunning and wears the 107's well. Where about's are you based ? There's plenty of advice and banter on here, I will start off by saying you need to get a real aerial

Black Roadster - the choice of the discerning Zed owner! Looks nice. I'll second Firebobby's real aerial suggestion. Chris D has one for sale: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=93361&start=90

Enjoy :driving:

Thanks all. We're just outside of Peterborough.

What's the deal with the aerial? As it happens, from a practical POV, the reception is terrible.

You will come to realise that there are some ongoing Forum feuds, the main 3 being
Whippy aerials vs stubbies
Roadsters vs coupes
Normally aspirated vs turbo-charged 2 litre Zeds

Apparently the FM radio aerial is behind the rear bumper, so the aerial on the the rear wing is only for AM reception.

Ahhh, well thanks for the info and taking time to respond.

Into the lions den I blindly wander, with large rib-eye steaks hanging from my belt.

I keep reading this, but my current Z4 with a stubby struggles to get any FM signal around here even though my previous Z4 with whippy didn't seem to have a problem! (And my 325ti Compact with no visible aerial does much better).

And both Z4s were Coupes - you know, the Z4 you should have bought because it has a proper roof and we live in England. :fuelfire:

Both naturally aspirated too, so that covers another Forum feud. :poke:

Hope I didn't miss anything.

Nearly forgot - OP that is a great looking Z4, especially on the Ellipsoid wheels. Lovely!
Coupes because stunning!
