Nice looking facelift you've got yourself there!
48mpg? That's quite some achievement. Are you using the OBC? Or breaking it down yourself?
Already sorting a few bits and bobs out too which is good to see! I remember I washed my soft top 2-3 times initially as it was quite neglected (on hosedown the water colour was green  )

Welcome aboard. Very nice example and you clearly know your onions on the detailing front. Definitely the best colour for the Zed, although I am biased! :D Seriously though the Zed looks good in a number of colours but I think its hard to argue against silver being the best for showing off those Bangle curves and contours. Here's me thinking I was doing well getting 38 MPG on a recent run in mine that involved a shed load of average speed cameras. Then again the later N52 is more frugal than the earlier M54 engine.

These 3.0 litre Zeds can be astonishingly frugal. Whenever it comes up in conversation people don't believe me when I tell them the MPG I can get. "3.0 litre petrol, your kidding right!"

wow thanks everyone for the warm welcome :D
buuuuut I have a bone to pick with you all!!! this car is supposed to be a fun standard cheapish to run daily but this forum has me looking into all sorts of upgrades, brake upgrades, coilovers, arbs, polybushes, exhausts and intakes!! just glad the n52 doesnt like boost, save a few quid there

but in all seriousness, any worthwhile minor upgrades anyone recomends from experience, I'm all ears!!

ZHP knob and CDV delete are on the cards and sort the scabby soft touch steering wheel trim, also ordered a headlight restorer kit, should be here in time for some weekend fun
