Regarding the CCV, I'm going to change this as a precautionary measure - can someone point me in the direction of a part number please. I'm assuming it's not too expensive and not a difficult job?
Hello and Welcome ! You've got a really handsome Zed there in a great colour !

I fitted this ccv recently: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262184950052
Not the cheapest but a good quality brand. It's not a difficult job to do. More time consuming as there is a fair few components to remove to get access. There are plenty of useful videos on YouTube.

Just had a major stock of luck. I was investigating the prices of the wind deflectors on eBay however, when I went to clean the rear screen, there just happens to be one on the shelf :D

Hi and welcome. are you auto or manual ? If manual I would strongly recommend removing the CDV, it really makes a difference to the clutch feel and gear change (especially first to second) and getting a weighted gearknob (Storm werks V1 or V2 or ZHP) to reduce notchiness.

Gearbox oil change is good maintenance for autos and manuals, although a lot more expensive for autos (needs about 9 litres versus 1.5 litres for the manual).

Thanks for the advice csquire4. I've been strongly considering doing the CDV delete as launch and 1st to second leave something to be desired. I'm also going to change the crank case breather as a precaution.
The previous own removed the foam from the sound generator by the sounds of it - can you buy the foam to replace it and where does it go?
