Newbi headlight question

Post by SparkyZ4 » Thu Mar 23, 2017 8:47 pm

Hi all....... I'm very excited, having sold my previous Z4 5 years ago, I'm taking delivery of another in two weeks time..... 2004 3.0i SE..... :D

I am looking to change the headlamp assembly for clear lens assemblies, although have noted that I have xenon headlamps and the light units I've seen will not be a direct replacement for a xenon :x

Can anyone let me know where I can obtain clear lense black background xenon headligh units please?

You'll find them just next to rocking horse s**t on the shelf..

Seriously they are rare and when found expensive.
Your better to hunt down scrap lights with clear hockey sticks an split your lights to fit them.
As an aside black inners denote the smaller engine variants, silver for 3.0's

I'd say it's a. Mid range 5-6
Not too difficult if you have some tools like a dremmel and are prepared to work in a very clean manner.
Need the car off the road for a couple of days too
Well worth doing though

Not easy because lots of different internals, harness, etc. Has a different lcm and adjustment mechanism.
Can be made to work if you're determined
