Zed's maiden voyage

Post by Wood Butcher » Sun Mar 26, 2017 8:58 pm

Ditched the people carrier for something a bit smaller

Maiden voyage from Manchester to the Woodhead pass, then via Sheffield to the Snake pass, and finally to Buxton, then home via the cat and fiddle. Used less than half a tank :driving:

Welcome
It's always nice to see coupes with silver wheels and especially if fitted with the very rare option of '0589 Stuff/Dingen', but unfortunately the photos don't work for me either.

Thanks guys!

It was a great day, the noise and acceleration made me smile every time I pressed the accelerator. Going from 88 bhp to 265 bhp has been a bit of a shock :D Also had my fave sarnie while out, and my fave tunes playing too.

Felt like a bit of a tool when I first tried to fill her up, the pump kept shutting off constantly unless I trickled the fuel in gently, so blocked the forecourt for a while. Not a problem though, I was only holding up a caravan!

Thanks guys! Couldn't stop thinking about it today while at work.
Need to find a more graceful way to exit the car, with the sports seats, and being low down, it has made for some ungainly scrambling

There is a knack to exiting while retaining a modicum of dignity. Unfortunately I've yet to master it & frequently appear to be taking the car off rather than getting out of it. The next time you have a blast down Woodhead divert up to Holme Moss, have an ice cream, take in the view & blast back down to Woodhead or carry on down to Holmfirth. The legacy of the Tour de France is some nicely smooth & windy roads around here!

Very nice - thanks for the pics. Top tip for next batch of pics - take them from the other side to show off the whippy aerial! :)

Very envious of the roads you can easily get to in you neck of the woods.

Enjoy :driving:
