Newbie E85 Z4 3.0 Sport conversion to MSA approved Race Car.
Hi All,
Thought I would register on here am part of a team that are currently beginning the process of turning a road going Z4 3.0i Sport into a Race car for a new race championship for Z cars ( Z3 & Z4).
Thought it maybe something that people want to see and it may drum up interest for other people interested in going racing..
Plus we will have pretty much everything off the car to sell apart from the the main bits shell engine etc, so if you need bits please let me know].
We have only just started the build but car is now stripped and as i write this is having the Roll cage welded in.
Any questions let me know.

Interesting thread. What made you chose a Z4 to go racing with?

We previously raced in the Production BMW Championship which was really good but we took a year out as my mate who drives had a little boy so wanted to concentrate on his new business and family this year.
So we needed something to do for next year and someone we new had agreed the start up of this new championship with MSVR its more powerful and more controlled so should be great fun.

With everything you've removed, it should be well below 1000kg now!
Should be nippy....
