Z4 3.0
Hi All,
Serial BMW owner here (I've had E30 325i, E36 328 Sport x2, E36 328 Touring, E36 M3 Evo, E46 M3 CS, E90 330i) just bought a Z4. Early build so it has a few age related issues now, as you'd expect, but overall an impressive package even all these years on. And the looks just seem to get better.
Sterling grey with red leather. Full spec from VIN look-up as follows:
Paint code: 472 - STERLINGGRAU METALLIC
Upholstery code: LATL - LEDER OREGON/TRA
Prod.date: 2003-05-27
S224 Driving dynamic control
S230 Extra package, EU-speciifc
S255 Sports leather steering wheel
S302 Alarm system
S324 BMW LA wheel, ellipsoid styling 107
S345 Chrome Line Interieur
S380 Hardtop-preparation
S399 Softtop, electromech. all-autom.
S423 Floor mats, velours
S428 Warning triangle and first aid kit
S431 Interior rear-view mirror with auto dip
S441 Smoker package
S459 El. front seat adjustment w. memory
S493 Storage compartment package
S494 Seat heating driver/passenger
S502 Headlight cleaning system
S520 Fog lights
S521 Rain sensor
S522 Xenon Light
S534 Automatic air conditioning
S609 Navigation system, Professional
S672 CD changer for 6 CDs
S677 HiFi system Professional DSP
S704 M Sports suspension
L812 NATIONAL VERSION GREAT BRITAIN
S818 Battery master switch
S853 Language version, English
S863 Dealer List Europe
S877 Omission of non-combined operation
S880 Operating instructions, English
S925 Dispatch protection pack
I'm not sure if there is a reader's rides section?
It's a pretty decent spec, though the 6CD changer is jammed and is proving tough to budge at present.
Done a few things already:
Changed the pollen filter.
Fitted a stubby (controversial!).
Fitted ZHP 'knob.
Clear third brake light.
Ditched the runflats for a set of PS3s.
Insp.2 (even though it isn't due).
Coolant and brake fluid swap.
Retro fitted cruise control.
Considering:
Wheel spacers.
Wheel refurb.
De-badge.
325mm front brake swap.
Black grilles.
Just need to enjoy it for now.
Finding the forum an invaluable source of information, parts and ideas already.
Thanks

Hi and welcome OP.
It sounds like you have been busy already!
You've got some good options on your car, and the colour scheme sounds good - how about sharing a photo or two with us?
