His chaps
I have a 3.0 2003 it's done 46000 miles and sometimes I get this pinking noise from the engine when I put my foot down when it warm....can anybody help......thank you Jay

Change the place your getting your fuel from. I've had this issue with BP high octane. Easy thing to start with.

The engine should be able to cope with lower octane at a slightly reduced power level but I know my 2.2 pinks when the fuel level is very low, if the anti knock sensors are not working that would result in pinking but so does poor fuel, I drove to Stuttgart a few years ago and had half a tank as I passed through Holland so topped up to make a straight through run and it wasn't running as well as normal, arrived on fumes and put in the local 100racing V-Power you could tell the difference on restart so whatever I got in Holland I was glad it was only half a tank!
