Thought I would say hey (as almost new owner)

Post by markalp » Fri Aug 11, 2017 8:34 pm

Hey everyone I will be picking up my new (to me) Alpina Roadster S next week.

After 15 years owning an 1992 RX7 Turbo Cabriolet it will be fun driving a normaly asperated car again.

Plan of action for the first few weeks after picking it up is as follows :-

1. BMW Inspection II (with all new fluids, oil, cooland, transmission, etc..)
2. Install SmartTop (prefer over the gaptech due to plug and play and operating while moving)
3. Install Connects2 (music streaming)
4. Getting the wheels refurbished
5. New shocks all around and tracking.

If you think there is anything else that I should be doing in the 1st few weeks please let me know.

I look forward to picking everyone brains over the next 15 years :)

Mark.

You've picked pretty rare model for your first Z4 - nice choice!

Sadly I don't know much about the Alpina, but I'm sure someone who does will be along soon with some advice!

I couldnt help picking the Alpina, after seeing quite a few of the newer E89, and E85 Z4Ms, as soon as I sat in the Alpina it just felt rite

Thanks Rusky, hopefully it will serve me well over the years, I actually went the whole hog and had a full RAC inspection done, including getting the oil analysed, and apart from a few minor things it passed with flying colours.

Acording to the other half I havn;t stopped grinning since I deceided to buy it lol
