Two dead roof motors fixed....... Happy days....
Got this a few weeks back with a roof problem....... Turned out to be a failed roof control module...... 40 quid later it's back working better than ever.........

Two dead roof motors fixed....... Happy days....
Roof module failure is quite rare. I've had 2 cases in over 250 roof jobs. I think that as the motor starts to seize and die, it draws operates for too long and kills the module. I initially thought it was excess current, but the main pump is switched by two relays controlled by the module.

That could of been it Mike, I was told the main hood motor had failed but been reconditioned and relocated in the boot...... Everything failed not long after that......
