Being a new owner I'm reading through the manual for the car and it mentions having certain settings linked to the key used. Things like the seat position etc. It states that this is done by a dealer but I was wondering if this is something we can do ourselves?
dealer or independant as far as I know...
Ok, thanks - I've heard the whole car can be closed up (hood/windows etc) with the key fob, is this another dealer job to do?

yup - though some dealers may claim the remote roof can't be done on preface lift cars - mine did :( Independant managed it though :) Also managed to sort the one-touch up on my passenger window which dealer didn't offer :D

I think the guy I bought the car from mentioned this had already been done on it. However, I'm not 100% sure, how can I test it? Is it like a double press on the close button, or press and hold... Or maybe even, A A B B + Start and Select?

to open press the unlock button 3 times and hold the third press...

Haha thanks, I will give it a try! It's raining a bit, my neighbours will probably wonder why my car is going crazy.

If the reinhold module is fitted 3 steady evenly spaced presses of the unlock button to open, 3 presses of the unlock to open everything. They tend to not like real rapid press, press, press

If you touch any button during the cycle it will stop it dead (safety measure)

Installing your own Bluetooth device i.e. the iO Play

£150 fitted vs £90 fit yourself
How to fit? Best positions for everything? Difficulty 1-10?

If anyone can give a good description, I'll take photos while I do it myself for posting :)

The dealer quoted $800.00 but I really think it was a lowball quote.

I will be doing it myself sometime in the next 30 days or so..

Just won an iO play on ebay, so 'best practice' installation of one of these would be awesome :P

Removing the mirror housing?

I have a TIS disc and this suggests that after moving the bayonet catch the mirror and mount should 'fall' out. Mine doesn't. How much force\leverage do I have to apply and where?

Daft question, But you have removed the 4 torx screws from the Mirror Arm, even with everything removed they do still need a small amount of force to remove nearest the swivel end.
