srhutch wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2017 11:21 pmCome on hypergrade man up, if you can do that to your E90 then fitting cruise to your Z4 will be a walk in the park
So I finally got around to getting this done this weekend. Started it a couple of weeks ago 120 miles from home as I had a work night in a hotel with an underground car park (good space, good lighting) so I took a whole bunch of tools....obviously it was an error as I came up against something that I didn't have a tool to deal with! :headbang:
But I continued this weekend, and in the end it really is a doddle - it's just a matter of getting your head around the instructions.
The hardest part for me (apart from the self-inflicted problem) was getting the metal plate off the LCM.
Then it all became obvious.

I'd be very happy to help anyone do it if necessary (Cambridge area), with the caveat that I've only done the N52 engine. Would love to see how quickly I could do it now I've got it all understood! 8)

Big shout-out to srhutch who took my texts at almost unreasonable hours! :D and for a great loom!

Now given me the confidence to do the dash-cam hardwire....

Depends on whether your car is face-lift or not. You'd need to provide more detail I believe.

Build date was 07 /2006 E85 2.0 . What periods are the Face lifts. Apparently the cars up to 2004 have the loom there already .What additional info would you need .

You can tell if you have the facelift easily from the rear lights. Do you have the circular indicators on them, or the straight lines throughout the cluster?
I'm not an expert (clearly), so you'd need Srhutch to confirm what your car has. PM him if you don't get a response, as the notifications on this post don't seem to be switched on anymore.

Sorry for not responding, not getting notifications that the thread has been posted on, so have missed.

You will need a loom and stalk. I can provide the loom and the stalk is available from main dealer for around £105, of used on ebay from £40 upwards (but not very often available)
