Anybody in the Yorkshire area fancy a dyno day??

Post by ph001 » Tue Nov 14, 2017 12:26 pm

Been thinking about getting my car dyno'd to ensure it's doing what's expected power wise but have always been put off in the past as results have been highly variable from run to run. I now realise a lot of this is down to tyre pressure / scrub / how hard they are strapped down etc.

So..have managed to locate a company in Castleford that have a hub dyno!!! These are far more accurate than rollers and also have the advantage of being much kinder on the car as it doesn't need to be strapped down at all. Read the advantages here... http://www.cskdyno.co.uk/html/dynapack.html

I'm speaking to the guy to see if we can get some kind of group deal but depending on numbers we would probably be looking at a half day session at £300+vat. So if we can get 10 cars that works out at just £36 ech.

Any interest?

Cool. Ideally if we could get at least two of the same model of each zed then we can do comparative checks.

Maybe Mike can do a roof motor relocation service while we wait!! 🤗

Not much love out there for a hub dyno day then :(

Would be great to get at least one more 3.0Si for comparison.
