Following on from the Scotland Meets Thread - I'm planning a meet Sunday 2nd June

interested Parties so far

1. ZermattV -IN
2. Swiftly -IN
3. Adamski -IN
4. JGP56 -IN
5. AndrewP-IN

I Plan to start the route at Blackford near Gleneagles on the A90 and it will finish slightly further south. distance will be 150 miles approx and will visit most of the Lochs in the Area -lunch stop to be agreed but probably one of the Village Hotels En- route.

For those thinking about coming to this one from further afield this is not a west coast blockbuster as planned for later in the year for the Skye Run.

If the numbers who can manage remain small I won't reccie the route beforehand but if numbers rise ill go down the week before and check it out.

I thought there would be a few more names down by now, especially as the warmer weather will be with us by then :)
 
Yeah Rob I'm in for this one. We're back in Forfar on Saturday, so this run won't be a logistical issue :thumbsup:
 
Argh, probably won't make it as we've got a night away planned on the Saturday up in Aberfeldy (god bless Groupon) so unlikely to have made full use of the facilities to depart in time for the drive. But then I don't know what route Rob has planned - forward it over and I'll see if our route home coincides at all...
 
Put me down as a maybe. I am due offshore on the 19th for 2-3 weeks. Chances are I won't be here for it but you never know :)

Hope you'll get some more numbers for this run guys - sadly I won't make it either as I'll be in Canada.

Enjoy anyway and looking forward to the next one . . . Skye ? surely we need another before that ? Maybe South East / Borders direction ? :driving:
 
Missed the topic until now, don't think I have anything else planned next weekend so put me down as a 'probable' for now :).
 
On the case with this today

Start will be the Baxters at Blackford with a 9:15 start time for a 9:45 start.

Lunch Booked at the Kenmore Hotel for 13:00 and Plan to finish the run at Dunblane

exact details to follow by mail but we will do a counter clockwise circuit and lunch should be close to Aberfeldy A11y if you fancy it- as we are a small pack i wont reccie the run this week as with 4-5 cars we should be able to do some things on Spec.
 
Cheers Rob, that's a fantastic loop. I think you said it yourself earlier but some of the roads have been travelled before on meets - you seem to be nailing a lot of the good 'uns with that route.

I replied to your e-mail. I'll speak to Mrs a11y and see what we can manage. We're in Aberfeldy overnight anyway and Kenmore's a short trip away. I'm actually doing part of your route to get up there on Saturday, purely as an alternative to the mundane A9. I've got your mobile number (and Adams too I think) so will see what we can do.

Yeah, I was up to Inverness over the weekend, was wearing a hat but the back of my neck got sunburnt from travelling north for 3 hours :o. Count me in, looking forward to it :D.

Getting difficult to find other routes so yes it's a bit of a best of route - good to see you if you are out and about
