Hartside Cafe Run Out 18th Sept
Evening,
I'm thinking about organising a run to Hartside Cafe on Sunday 18th September, from the Preston and surrounding area, although we can pick up en route. The route below keeps to the country lanes including some single track roads and passes Settle, Ribblehead, Hawes, Buttertubs Pass, Tan Hill pub, highest pub in England I believe.
If I get any interest I will detail the route a little more with stops etc.

Okay, got a bit of a timetable together. It's not fixed in stone so shout up if someone needs the start time to slip a little.
Meet at the Shell/Spar petrol station M6 Junc 31a (Southbound side) 8:30am to leave at 8:45am
First stop Settle - 32 miles approx 1hr. Breakfast/Brew? 30 mins stop?
Second stop Tan Hill Inn - 39 miles 1.25 hr. 30 mins stop?
Third stop Fuel (just in case) - 44 miles 1 hr.
Fourth stop Hartside Cafe - 6 miles 10 mins.
All times are estimate as we can stop off for photo ops as we see fit, but are there in case people fancy joining us en route or meeting up of other Z4 Forumites from surrounding areas at Hartside Cafe.
I have a gpx file if anyone wants a route on their mobile sat nav or a BMW file for any E89ers with sat nav.
Missed anything? Requests? Detours? Shout up.

I would be interested in this run depending on the date. My wife and I did almost this exact route back in June...great roads.

Hi Patriot,
I've set the day to 18th September so people can check their diaries for a definite yes/no.
Hope that helps.
Cheers

That's pretty much a full day behind the wheel , 6-7 hrs ?? , I did a good part of that last year some great roads .
Can't commit to the full days drive but might just jump in for the opener up to Settle

That's a good estimate depending on length and quantity of stops. I do 9-10 hour days at work so I class it as just over half a daymr wilks wrote:That's pretty much a full day behind the wheel , 6-7 hrs ??

Hi there, I'd be up for this, it'll be my first run in the Zed with the forum. Be coming from West Cumbria, so could drive down or join en-route and tail off towards the end.
