A trip to the Evo triangle

Post by *AL* » Thu Dec 29, 2016 9:31 pm

:) Hi guys and gals, hope you all had a great Christmas break. With a few days after Christmas off work I decided to go to the Evo triangle in north Wales, for those that don't know it's a 20 mile circuit of public roads that is used by Evo mag to test various cars. What a fantastic route, the roads are sublime and we done 4 circuits X2 clockwise and X2 anti clockwise. If you've never been then it's well worth the journey, we done 450 miles that day and loved every moment.

There can be a police presence but when we went it was very quiet, we completed a circuit first just to check it out. Even at regular speeds the roads are fantastic, visibility is very good too so just use a bit of common sense and don't be stupid. I want to do it again but next time it will be in warmer weather on my Hayabusa. :)

Done a few laps but always kept it legal as it's notorious and you've a good chance of meeting a nutter coming the other way.
Very early AM in Summer is good...

Yes I was very aware of that as I'd done a bit of homework first, the presence of ice gave me a reality check with the ABS kicking in at times. :driving:

Just to add, ambient temp was around 0.0C but had to be a roof down drive! :driving:

Some nice pics there. The threat of ice is a far better deterrent to fast driving than a speed camera van. :o

A good driving road is a road you enjoy a good drive on. :driving:
