Lands End to Ness Point Midsummers Night 21st June
Anyone else doing this? Sunset to sunrise on the shortest night of the year. A bunch of guys on PH forum do this every year, I'm thinking of doing it if I've got a co-driver to keep me awake!

Ness point is weird, little is made of the location, stuck in the back end of an industrial estate in the backwater that is Lowestoft. I am intrigued where even a small number of cars would park when they get there. And Lowestoft doesn't open until 0900!

Tempted to head down and wave you off. The road to Lands end is a Cracker when it is dry and traffic free. Normally around mid January. I assume you will use the A30 through Cornwall? Remember there are road works, with a 40mph speed limit and ave speed cameras, along many miles around Bodmin, so may actually be quicker on the A38

Only just seen this. We did it this year (me plus co-driver with a mate in his Supra). About 10 cars did it in all. All but 1 made it.
If you really want to do it there are a few from PH doing it tomorrow night. My write up is in the PH thread as well:

Read the write up on PH now and what a cracker it is too. I see Burnie was there in the pics on PH. So that will have been the 21st. Well done again one and all.

Yeah Burnie was there. His car is hidden behind others in the 2nd pic and he started from the hotel rather than the visitors centre.
He mentioned he used to have an Alpina Roadster so I take it he's known here?
