Left home at 7:15 and caught the ferry at 10.00am.
Got home last night at 9.00pm
Very long day but well worth the journey and every 350ish mile.

Then the 1/2 hour or so drive to Sanna through the old volcano!
Lots of single track roads but plenty parts were you can see well ahead and enjoy the drive at a decent pace!

A couple more quick stops on the return leg but feel I missed so many photo opportunities on the way.
Need a return trip next year and take 2 or 3 days to enjoy it more! :D

An absolutely fabulous part of the world ! I've walked, mountain biked and driven it a fair bit over the years. I 'cut my teeth' walking in the area with my father as a boy. Lots of emotional and sentimental attachment for me to this landscape. My fathers ashes are by Stob Dearg/Buchaille Etive Mor in one of your photos. Great memories of great days. Thanks for posting your superb photos.

reminds me of a roadtrip I treated my gf to when I drove my ancient Fiat 127 from Essex up to Oban-the excursion to the isle of Mull was worthwhile (as was the whole exhaust falling off the car & trying to refit it by the side of a narrow lane)
I also remember the alternator packing in just after leaving Essex & managing over 200miles on battery charge alone before managing to borrow a charger for the night! After fixing both of those issues the cambelt snapped at the end of my road in Chelmsford the day after we got back destroying the engine
I've tried to blot some of these memories from my mind as they were so painful
