I've used rain x but i find that the effect doesn't last long. Now I treat any new car I buy tohttp://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/engine-an ... d_911.html it claims to last 20,000 miles and in my experience it achieves pretty close to that.

+1 amazing stuff

Water beads off your screen like crazy. I don't even need the wipers on on the motorway it's that good. Rally teams use it.

Now that, my good man, is a bloody good idea.
I literally just audibly exclaimed "oh my god" when I saw this. I'm gonna douse the whole bathroom in the stuff. I hate having to squigee the shower down every time.

I use Gtechniq's G5, better water repellence but doesn't last as long (still lasts up to 6 months!).

Ive never been to impressed with rain x. Either it's application or the results/longevity. But nothings as bad as there anti fog/mist stuff, that's god awful in every way!

Seems to be a trend of late, this thread revival business. Not that I'm complaining!
I use the rain x and find it great, although I didn't know there were any rivals? May give the Gtechniq stuff a go once I run out, which probably won't be for a few years

I use the rain x additive that you put straight into the washer bottle, never smears and does an excellent job ! Never thought about it on the shower screens but sounds like a brilliant idea
