Best thing is to buy, borrow or hire a carpet cleaner machine. Before I sold husband's car I thought I'd never get the stains out or get it to smell fresh again ......... But my Bissell sorted it. Can I just as the stains and smells had now to do with me !

She may be three years older but I bet Janet is still a great performer on the shag pile!

1001 carpet cleaner and brush. Cleans carpet, plastic trims, even leather as long as you then use a leather feed afterwards.

Spray it on, scrub with a stiff brush, or toothbrush for difficult areas, then wipe off with a clean cloth. You would not believe how clean it gets the plastics.
If you try and take a cat apart the first thing you have is a non working cat.

INTERIOR CARPET/UPHOLSTERY CLEANER

For years I always used Autoglym Interior Cleaner but last year bought some Astonish Vac Maxx for £1 from Home Bargains to use in my extraction machine on my lounge carpet. http://www.astonishcleaners.co.uk/produ ... t-shampoo/
I diluted some about 10:1 in a hand sprayer to apply directly on some more stubborn marks and also found that it is absolutely superb stuff on car carpets, upholstery and any interior plastics. Spray it on directly or apply with a cloth or brush and wipe off. Dirt cheap, works superbly and smells great too !
