Used the same one for the first time last weekend and followed the advice from the boy in the shop and used it as a sponge with the normal good quality shampoo instead of a specialist lubricant and worked great. Was told you can use it b/w 30 - 50 times but how true that is only time will tellMarlon wrote:Off to buy a Farecla G3 Body Prep Clay Mitt from Halfords - gets great reviews

I have one and they work great! I still keep a clay bar for tight spaces, but mitt is so much faster and results are just as good. For lube i use normal shampoo in spray bottle diluted with water - dodo juice btbm.

I've had one abit now and used it yesterday on my sons new car which had been under a tree for months and removed all the sap and mold. Snow foamed, washed then used the mit with autoglym detail spray and it worked a treat with out much rubbing.

Thanks Marlon have thought abut a clay mit but never got round to it your post and replies got me into action. So after the specified cleaning I used the mit ,and yes it gives a silky smooth feel. Then a coat of Mr Wicks recommended topaz polish and I am well pleased.

This could have gone so wrong for Marlon if everyone had ended up with scratches - it would not have been Zedward who would have ended up in the boot ...Marlon wrote:Looking good Baza
I will try it soon on my Audi, as that could do with some TLC.

A quick reminder of how Zedward was pampered and cherished during his time with the Marlon's.
He may have had to endure a short journey here and there in, shall we say, 'a cave like' environment - but he's a bear after all

Not really - just light pressure and keep turning/rinsing the cloth, making sure it is always well lubricatedBeedub wrote:so is their a special technique with these mitts then or just simply use as a sponge??
