For 40 years I always washed cars like my Dad did!
Bucket of soapy water and a sponge, bucket of clean water to rinse then a chamois leather for drying - I can hear the gasps of horror from here!
Anyway when it finally stops raining my Z4 is now due for a treat as I have bought these:-

I have followed a similar path Mr. Tidy I still have sponges, but they have been demoted to washing the alloys and inner wheel arches. Oh, you need a clay mitt next
