DA polishers

Finally I am going to buy a polisher to use once the better weather is here.
On Clean your cars site the DAS6 Pro Plus with the microfibre kit is out of stock but there is a Vertool 21 model which looks exactly the same and is also the same price.
Are these two polishers the same but just branded differently?
The info on them seems the same so why does the DAS6 always go out of stock when the Vertool doesnt?
Anybody any ideas or is it better to wait for the DAS6?

I had a look at the DAS6 a friend had and thought it felt a bit cheap. Went for the Vertool 21 and been very pleased with it. Of note is that it has a much larger "orbit" than the 6, it's 21mm rather than I think 15mm on the 6. Doesn't sound a lot but percentage wise it makes a difference. I certainly found it faster at cutting the paint than others I have used in the past.

Maybe his was just a DAS6.
You get a DAS6, a DAS6 Pro and a DAS6 Pro Plus.
Its the Pro Plus that looks like the Vertool.
Good to hear a positive for the Vertool though.

I've just bought one of Slim's detailing own machines Das 6 with the polishing kits included, approx £140. They say it's for the occasional user rather than pro needs and a good machine for just that. Not had a chance to use it yet but it looks a good kit, worth a look.

I have the DAS 6 Pro and it doesn't feel cheap to me, but then I have nothing to compare it to

Compared to the Porter Cable, it does feel a bit flimsy but it is only a fraction of the price though.

I finally went to buy one of these and the DAS6 Pro Plus was back in stock so bought this instead of the Vertool.
Managed to find a discount code and got 7% off too. Focusrs7. :)

Do these polishers make much noise when you are using them? Hopefully they don't sound like a power drill?

They are pretty loud, Not outrageously loud but certainly not quiet by any means. Youtube some videos of Dual action polishers and listen for yourself.

They are also pretty tiresome on the hands after doing a whole car. Fortunately the Z4 has massive flat panels such as the bonnet which require less pressure as the weight of the machine is helping, But horizontal panels require some pressure to be applied and can get tire out your arms and hands.

Thanks man.
I am quite a big and strong lad so not an issue. More the noise I was worried about. I'll Youtube it then, thanks for the suggestion.

Noise is not to the level that you need ear protectors though.

The air blower on the other hand ...
