Collinrite 845 insulator wax
Just use Collinrite for the first time yesterday. My e89 in dark blue looks great and it was easy to apply and polish off. Has anybody else used this polish? Happy new year to all fellow z4 drivers.

I've used the 478 I think it is, and it lasts longer than anything else I've tried.

Have used this wax on a few cars including mine I pop it on a radiator for a while or in the microwave before use that way it returns to a liquid easier to apply

Happy New Year to you too ! Collinite 845 is a great, easy to use wax. Very glossy with great water beading. If you take the time to prep your dark blue paintwork prior to applying the 845 then it will look even better. Clay bar then swirl remover then filler glaze then finish with 845 will look superb...some real 'depth' in the colour and a 'wet' gloss. I am currently using quite a few Poorboys World products. They have a range of 4 or 5 grades of swirl remover and their Black Hole filler glaze is superb. All these can be hand or machine applied. To make the 845 thinner and easier to apply I drop the bottle in my bucket of hot soapy water whilst washing and drying.lowrider wrote:Just use Collinrite for the first time yesterday. Thanks dude.
It's a well spent couple of long days to prep well but it's worth it. Mine gets done once a year before summer with good wash methods through the rear and wax top ups. Keeps it looking great

I like a clean car but am definitely not a detailer. I bought some Collinite last year and stuck some on my handwashed Z4M in December. I hadn't done any other prep (no claying) and probably should have waited for warm weather but have been pleased with the result. I've just washed the car in fresh water only and this is the bonnet (brick) and boot (sky reflection), it's still beading as you can see.
