Hardtop change of colour

Post by FD3S » Sat Feb 18, 2017 1:28 pm

There is a hardtop on our local market that is for sale 600 euros. I thins the price is good and I would like to buy it. However it is white and black in the centre and I have a black car. The look with the withe and black on my car it will look ridiculous I guess, so I have to paint it black.

Can this thing get painted because if I remember correct it is from Carbon Fiber? Any estimation about the cost if this is doable?

Thank you.

White and black in centre :? - love to see a pic
Its not carbon fiber - they can be sprayed or wrapped, I will let others give prices as I was lucky enough to find a black one.

Thanks mate for the info. Wrapped sounds like a fair choice.

Now THAT'S what I'd call a 'questionable' colour scheme (Mr. Wilks)!

Eur600 is an excellent price for a hardtop and is also how much I paid to bag one
Repainting will cost you more than the purchase price of the roof I can imagine and maybe DMC can clarify this as I believe he had his repainted, albeit to a very high standard.

You could always wrap those outside sections for MUCH less ofc.

pics when finished plz......

I'll probably be shot down in flames and be completely on my own but I quite like the way that roof looks on that white Z4.

I was quoted £400 for a colour change as it needs to have the rear glass out to do a good job.
