Washing.... Should I wash again?
I've never really had a car I wanted to keep clean as much as I like keeping the Zed clean!
I washed it last weekend using Meguairs Gold Class, I then used Meguairs Quik Wax spray.
So to my question..... The car hasn't left my drive since it was washed. I want to have a shine this weekend, so do I complete the same wash and Quik wax or can I just give it once over with a microfibre and Quick Wax spray?
It's rained on so has water marks on it.
Sorry if that sounds really naive, I'm quite new to this.

Personally, I wouldn't rub anything onto the car without washing it first. There will be airborne contaminants all ovr it, and the last thing you want to do is rub them into the paint.

I wôuld say wash it again. There's so much cr@p in the air and rain that you're bound to have tiny bits of grit sitting on the car.
Don't be shy of posting pics of a shiny Zed!

Washing.... Should I wash again?
The detailing police may get me but ......
I would rinse (pressure wash), snow foam, rinse and then dry and detail spray. Wouldn't bother with two buckets unless dirty.

I think you're right about the crap in the rain/air.RickRob wrote:I wôuld say wash it again. There's so much cr@p in the air and rain that you're bound to have tiny bits of grit sitting on the car.

Photos - I need to get the swirls out first when I have a bit more time. I think it may have been through many supermarket car washes under the previous owner

I agree with the above, give it a blast with a pressure washer and then a quick wash. I wouldn't touch the paint on mine after a week in the garage, never mind outside.

Thanks for the pics. Does look shiny - just think what it could look like after a real clean and some elbow grease!

Couldn't agree more. I might need to experiment with different products on my wife's old Peugeot first!RickRob wrote:Thanks for the pics. Does look shiny - just think what it could look like after a real clean and some elbow grease!
