Touch up paint?
I need to cover a few stone chips so what's the concensus on this one. Any recommendations for particular products or just go for OME?

the Halfords 3 pen kit is tip top imo.
primer, paint and laquer, the paint pen can be used with its built-in brush or as a pen reminiscent of a Rotring technical pen.

Halfords 3 part, great match and good value. The fine brush is fit for purpose.

Touch up paint?
I purchased the genuine touch up stick from BMW for a detailer to use before applying Gtechniq serum. He only used it on three chips as the colour match was terrible. My car colour is deep sea metallic blue. Saying that there has to be some variation I suppose as my car is eight years old.

Other than BMW (- £10 plus £10 p&p) can anyone recommend a touch up pen for Merlot Red - couldn't see it in Halfords.

Touch up then either wet sand or use a denibber to get level and polish.
Not cheap, but easy to use and quicker than wet sanding.

Have you used one of these? Been looking into ideas for doing self touch up jobs and was going to try wet sanding.srhutch wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 2:38 pm Touch up then either wet sand or use a denibber to get level and polish.

I have a Festool de-nibber and it is a great little tool. You only remove paint from the chip so it is very specific and a polish will give you a great finish. I was nervous of using it at first, but confidence grows with use.
