No need to goto halfords or the like I went to wickes brought some plumbers mait (under five quid) used an old spray bottle filled with plain water. Just works exactly the same. And same results.

Wel if that works good on yer, but for about £20 I wouldn't risk my paintwork.i will look up plumbers main though just out of interest.

Plumbers mate is a soft white compound used for sitting sanitary items on and general sealing. I wouldn't be putting it near my car, not when you can get a great and FAST claying cloth from the clay cloth company for about £12..

There are different grade of clay though. As above, not worth the risk for a few quid.

You can buy a box of Bilt Hamber soft auto clay for about £12, it's really good, will easily do 5+ Zeds. (possibly a couple more more), so less than £2 per session. I wouldn't use anything else on my cars regardless of price, it's excellent and you only need tap (hose) water as a lub.

I use that too, for the same reasons. Great stuff.
