Although I dont like it, I cant disagree that this is fantastic value for such a capable car!!

:D they want £3500 deposit here, unlikely to get a car before Sep 09 at the earliest too. I am 40/60 for placing a deposit but it's such a lot of cash (the whole car not just the deposit) plus its not refundable after a month has passed, which makes me a bit nervous about it, otherwise I suppose I would order one then cancel it nearer the time if I thought it wasn't the right thing to do.

Hmmm :scratchhead:

I'm sure someone would be willing to pay you your £3500 deposit if you decided not to continue with your order. But I highly doubt you'd give the spot up. :) Do it! Do it for the both of us.

I'm sure you're right, but Nissan are being extremely awkward here, trying to cut out Jap imports and I'm sure that transferring the deposit will be harder than it should be. I'll re-assess once someone posts the UK terms and conditions from one of the high performance dealers, which should be out soon as they started taking deposits on the 4th April.

I just got a call from a dealer I talked to a few months ago. They have a black on black with premium package that's scheduled to be delivered on July - August for MSRP.

Price breakdown:
$72,500 - MSRP
$2,995 - PDI, Nissan decided to ship this car differently, hence the expensive PDI (it's normally around $695).

Any takers?

From Autocar this week, GT-R v Audi R8 v 911 Carrera S PDK...

It destroys them, bludgeons them into submission, rips them apart, throws what's left of them into the gutter and then howls off over the next horizon. Dynamically this is as dramatic a demolition job as I have ever known among a group of supposed rivals, and that applies on all roads...

...there is a new king, and it's called the GT-R.

Hmm... other than I'm too poor for that car? Not too much. I DID find a couple of good reads, however:

Interesting way to accept your GT-R Delivery

What is the GT-R’s Real Horsepower?

Hopefully I can make enough money to afford the Spec-V version in a couple of years... :D

Mmm real horsepower, they were reckoning on around 520 :heat:

Haven't seen one here yet, can't wait until next Summer when they come out. Love the detailing job on that one.

A few pics snapped by a friend at a local dealer.
He just happened to have a service scheduled the day they were setting up the GT-R in the showroom.

Well I saw the white GTR at Guelph Infiniti today.
AWESOME....
They are getting a Black and Silver one in also.
