New hood for the Z3 :o)

Post by TitanTim » Sat Jul 26, 2014 5:09 pm

Thought I would bore you all and post some pics of the new hood fitted to the Z3 today, originally black but opted for one in burgundy :) Really pleased with the end result :) It was a hot day for the fitter though

Lovely Tim. Looks like a mini-me version of Johnny Essex's Z4!

Did he supply and fit the roof? Or just fit?

Thanks Ben, had it done by Thesofttopshop who supplied and fitted the hood, took 4 and half hours to fit.

The Red /Silver blend is a match made in heaven
Do you push the car in as looks tight to open the drivers door.

Thanks guys, it's completely transformed the Zed.

The Z3 in the garage is fine but was a bit of a struggle in the Z4. The M135i only just fits length wise lol

Yes it had the common Z3 problem of the hood pulling away from the screen, I glued it back a few times but the stitching had gone on it. The new hood the rear screen is sewn in so not sure if that's better for strength.

Looks good, I would consider red for mine if I had to replace, would go well with the Imola seats.

Very smart. Nice combination with the silver and makes a nice change to black.

Not sure about the aftermarket wheels but can't deny it's a very tidy Z3.
