Clever idea and looks quite cool, didn't understand why they went back to a rag top after the previous incarnation but this addresses the balance.

Oh man i would love to see a pic of you behind the wheel with a peaked cap & leather driving gloves :D :P
There are things that are nice about the Mx5 ( namely some of the style designs ) but stand next to one & they have little by the way of presence & look small compared to a E85 & tiny against a E89
If i was forced to come up with one word to describe the whole package it would be " lightweight" & that isn't meant as a compliment

  yep I don't really fit.

The early ones, just about with the roof down, my wife's bestie has one of the electric hardtop ones which I like the styling but it's a bit snug and found it very underpowered when I had a sneaky blat in it.

I like the style, but as Mr Wilks says-it's like a scale model of a sports car :)

The MX5 seems to me to look better in the photos than it does in real life. Be interesting to see what the targa top looks like, which seems to look good in the photos.

I will echo what Mr Wilks and others have said: looks good in photos and even on video (Grand Tour E 5), but in the flesh they just don't have the presence of the Z4 or Boxster (or SLK for that matter).

Its virtually half the price of a Boxster/SLK though and probably more fun, certainly more than the SLK.

In all fairness, a skate board is more fun than an SLK.
