I used to have one of those... about 11 years ago when I first moved here and couldn't be arsed to take the driving test. I put close to 40k miles on it in three years, taking it as far as Sweden on a road trip over Christmas. Yes, I'm a bit mad...

When you say "moved here" do you mean the uk? You still need a full driving license to drive a smartcar?

When you say "moved here" do you mean the uk? You still need a full driving license to drive a smartcar?

Yep, I'm from the Great White North, aka Canadia. I was able to do a straight swap for my license but I was restricted to full automatic. I did finally pull my finger out and take the test and it was dead easy. And after all that, 11 years later I have a DCT and am in love with it
