all of a sudden the z is less appealing

Post by stevespg » Fri Feb 17, 2017 1:57 pm

my old 2.8 v6 turbo DD saab is now retired (too old for the company car policy) and my new DD has arrived.

335d x drive estate

to say I'm impressed would be an understatement

this is my first diesel car, pulls well, handles well. and all of a sudden the z feels slower....

can't wait for the sunshine and the advantages of the Z to rise again, but right now, if i were to go for a long blast the 335 would win

AWD, plenty of sportscars have this now - not so unusual, and the diesel......this thing leaves my 290 hp 2.8 turbo saab in the mirrors with ease..... diesel or not, its a fantastic piece of engineering.

the z is staying, but my DD is now "faster" than my fast sporty car.....

I often wonder why I'm running a 320d convertible for the same reasons. :|
Which is why I'll be chipping it in at some point to buy a z4 coupe

Dunno what a sline badge is, but I'm glad the owners have to wear them on their lapel so we can distinguish them from normal folk.
