Anyone any idea what this glorious beast is? Best view I could get. Was sat burbling in a traffic jam in Sarasota in Florida, so I'm guessing V12 maybe. Sounded wonderful.

Yeah I was thinking Corvette. I got a glimpse of the front and thought I'd seen crossed flags.

Sticky is correct - a 1955 Corvette to be precise.

Replica with hints of a 55 corvette. Never an original I'm afraid.

Yup the six exhaust pipes are sure not original. What a fine looking car.pp1600 wrote:Replica with hints of a 55 corvette. Never an original I'm afraid.

Not my cup o' tea!
You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

I can see it might be an acquired taste. Does it for me though, and the sound was lovely.ronk wrote:Not my cup o' tea!

My guess is it's a '57 Vette arse end,
spliced on to a more modern version, maybe a C5 chassis.
I wonder what the front end looks like ?
