My car fantasy

Post by Roundozo » Sat Jun 10, 2017 9:10 pm

Everyone has their favourite car that they'd love to own but if often out of financial reach. Not only is my dream car out of financial reach its pretty darn rare. It put a huge smile on my face to see one out and about today. Had to chat to the owner. Nice guy but got jealous very quickly as I found out he has two of these and a lambo.

I give you the De Tomaso Pantera

I thought for one moment that you wanted to be a policeman!

Cool car indeed. Anyone with more than one of those is just being plain greedy!

Panteras have skyrocketed in value recently!
I was looking at them about 6-7 years ago when a nice example could be had for about 30k.
I think generic american v8 powerplants help there. Cooling and reliability issues put me off eventually but everytime i see one i get pangs of regret for not investing.
Happy with the zed as a weekend toy tho

Was that Surrey way at all? My cousin's business partner has 3 panteras and a gallardo amongst other things. Strange coincidence :o

That car is awesome in the flesh, saw it at the Petersen Museum in LA, they had it in their car vault, I believe loaned for display by Mr Rawlings :)
