I got nothing! (2007 3.0Si)
So I recently bought a 2007 3.0Si at auction with zero history - zero paperwork/books, etc.
I'm going to get the stuff off eBay (or anywhere people here may suggest).
I spoke with the local BMW parts desk, and they want £60 for the right blank books for my model, and he stressed that I needed to make sure I get the right ones...etc. And I think the canvas folder was on top of that price.
Can anyone help me and advise which books they are for this model? Were there multiple books for 2007? Anyone with this year and model that can advise, I'd be very grateful!

Depends on spec as well. If you have satnav, BT, and the BMW Assist you'll get (I think its 3) extra books, plus the Bluetooth card with the BT info for your car (unique code). Just arrived at work so don't have them to hand to give you part numbers (if they're on the books), but no doubt someone will have answered your post better by the time I get home tonight.
Edit - as far as I know the folder is leather, not canvas.

Just look for a set on eBay - I had to do that when my coupe came without the folder and manual.

Thanks, any info would be helpful. I have Bluetooth and comfort access, that's about it I think.enzed4 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2017 9:06 pm Depends on spec as well. I can't recall the folder from my last Z, I've still got an e90, which is why I'm thinking its canvas.

My Coupe came with a pre-facelift owners' handbook, which obviously doesn't include the Coupe as they were all facelifts!?
Found the right one on the bay of E, but it cost £33 (luckily I did have the folder and service book). But there is an electronic version for which someone sent me a link, so if you don't need the paper version it's way cheaper!
Anyway OP, enjoy your 3.0 Si - they are great!

No such thing as comfort access on E85/6. What function does it do, probably just coding.HyperGrade wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2017 11:58 pmThanks, any info would be helpful. As above though try eBay. I did have a book for a standard/business stereo somewhere from when I replaced with nav.

Well prior to buying it at auction I called that rip off premium BMW spec line and that's one of the things they said it had.srhutch wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2017 6:57 amNo such thing as comfort access on E85/6. It has memory seats coded to the different keys - so I assume that's what that was....

Is the comfort access simply the lowering of the windows if you hold the key down?
3.0l Silver SMG, whippy and ginge fringe/ Sound gen mod/ Media bridge fitted (bluetooth and audio streaming) / Clear third break light/ Hard Top/ Eibachs springs and DLV back box/ Roof motor in the boot/ plus lots more.

Isn't that standard? The roof comes down if I hold the unlock button on the key - is that is? I really have no idea of what else this car can do without the books.

On the e86 comfort opening will drop the window all the way down when you open the door if you press the unlock button twice. Then when you close the door it will automatically close again. These are both things that were off on my car and I have turned them on through coding and can be done individually.

Why would you want the window all the way down if you open the door....only for it then to spring back up as soon as you close it. I fail to see the usefulness of that feature...Steve84N wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2017 12:21 pm On the e86 comfort opening will drop the window all the way down when you open the door if you press the unlock button twice. If I press unlock twice, it then unlocks the passenger door.

Its for getting in when some TW$T parks too close to us i,e, supermaket car park. Comes in useful on the odd occasion.HyperGrade wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2017 2:00 pmWhy would you want the window all the way down if you open the door....only for it then to spring back up as soon as you close it. Probably worth putting the reg number on here as people might know it's history.
Also, can we ask if what you paid at auction....was it a bargain?

Exactly, or a narrow garage. Only works with frameless doors thoughtug wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2017 2:49 pmIts for getting in when some TW$T parks too close to us i,e, supermaket car park.
