Did the MFSW myself earlier, made my own loom and connected into the car in the pedal area rather than at the LCM, as it's tight behind the dash for working space.

So did you pick up the same 2 wires, just lower down the loom then Mike. Am I right in thinking one comes from the radio and the other from the lighting circuit. Did you just use normal vehicle wires ?? How did you connect into the wheel plug.Ducklakeview wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2017 3:58 pmDid the MFSW myself earlier, made my own loom and connected into the car in the pedal area rather than at the LCM, as it's tight behind the dash for working space.

Yes m8, traced them down. I used a bit of twin core bell wire type cable I had left over from worrying the electromagnetic locks on the garage door, and pulled a couple of terminals from the donor car as it no longer needs them, and soldered the new cable to them.

Popped the CDV off the M this afternoon. Very pleased, has made a quite noticeable difference. I know some M owners don’t find any difference but I have, well worth doing.
Here’s the little fella and a pinky for size comparison if anyone wonders.

As well as doing the mfsw wiring, I decided to split my clocks as the dust inside them was annoying me.. Look much better now. Also adjusted the ring on the lower steering motor, hoping to smooth it out a bit. Will find out on my way to work if it's been effective.

Dragged the Zed kicking and screaming out of the garage, in the rain and took it for a drive out on the moors. Got it filthy dirty. Ragged it's round behind on the way home, as the roads were bone dry by then. Then washed and hoovered and tucked away till the next time.
I love my Zed.

Had an early drive over to Ockham and met RickRob for a coffee - nobody else turned up, even though the weather was fine!
Then when I got home I replaced my stubby with a whippy in the hope I may get more than crackles on the radio (I meant to do it before I went out, but I'm only half awake at 08.00 on a Sunday).
