Fixed the plunger under the bonnet. Took two attempts as the first one wouldn't fit back in the hole

Removed the good one and copied it.

3D printed a new cap and cut 1/2" off the spring as it was way too strong.

Just noticed in the picture they are different, so will have to replace now :x

Knew I'd spoken to soon ! Bloody air bag light won't go out! Anybody any ideas? I disconnected the battery whilst doing the work. Take it I'll need an OBD reset of some sort??
Find someone with DIS or Carly software to clear it, DIS is better at diagnostics than Carly but both should sort it.
Cheers for that
Will give my good friend Swiftly a shout :D

Third brake light hasn't been working for a while. I've been putting off looking at it because I couldn't be bothered messing around finding the right tools and removing the lamp again. Today I finally decided to tackle it, unscrewed the metal plate in the boot and it turns out I didn't need to remove the lamp at all. The wired connector had come loose, it was a bit fiddly but I was able to reach in and connect it back up without touching the lamp. I have a working third brake light again! And wow it's bright.

Went for a top down spin in the sunshine :D , filled up with Super unleaded, removed the short piece of foam from the sound generator tube - quite pleased with that, just about the right level for me. Don't think it will help with fuel economy though

  • Remove the CDV and bled the clutch.
  • Fixed my bonnet adjustment so that bonnet sits level with two wings and hopefully won't rub on radiator cowl.
  • Drained, flushed and replaced the engine coolant
  • Changed the air filter
  • Changed the engine oil and filter
  • Removed rear wheel arch liners and inspected, found small spot of surface rust, rubbed down, hammerite under-coated then Bilt Hamber UB waxed on top
  • Brushed Bilt Hamber UB on rear brake pipe bends (where they always go rusty)
I just wish I could get the remote keyfobs working, still upsetting me bigtime :(

yesterday a stubby went on :)

and today was the first drive in the daylight! lively little scamp isnt it, though probably the cold temps and wet roads. sounds awesome, and the noise just builds as you approach the redline - 6k in a 3.0 straight six sounds epic! Not convinced by sport mode though... makes the throttle a little digital. like the weighty steering and ease of blipping the throttle. maybe it'll feel better when on track.

got brake pads ready to go in, and new rear track tyres on order, both of which should help with the grip. Will be taking the front camber pins off for as much front camber as possible as well.
