Clutch delay valve removal
Propshaft donut
Tightened exhaust clamp

Wow it's like a differnt car, can't belive how worn the donut was, it basically fell to bits on removal, so much tighter now, it's tightened up the drive train no end coupled with the cdv removal it drives well for 212k!

Now, where can I go to post a thankyou thread? :tumbleweed:

What was the symptoms of the prop shaft donut failing Jay?

I am getting a slight 'knock' when i let off the gas. All the bushes have been checked and are fine.

could well be that mate, mine was thumping going into gear in lower gears from the rear, and as you say, coming off the power it felt a definite thud

Replaced the broken bonnet bump stop with a new one, and it seems like that was the cause of my noise all along. And there was me changing struts, bushes and top mounts trying to get rid of it!

In fairness the struts and bushes were well worn so it needed doing regardless, but I feel like my car is pretty much spot on now!

Then gave the interior a hoover and wipe over. It hadn't been done for about 6 months!

I didn’t get a chance to winter prep the zed in time this year so today I made up for it as I’m off to Amsterdam in the zed tomorrow morning :D

Nightbreaker unlimited bulbs went in, I also flicked the switches for the lights to be eurofied.

Next up were the wheels, they got a wash polish and wax off of the car. While the wheels were off I jet washed the arches, scrubbed them and made sure the drain holes are in a good way - they were anyway.

Gave the roof a good shampoo and scrub, knew it wouldn’t be dry in time for proofer so will probably keep shampooing it until it’s proper clean and the weather cheers up a bit.

Wash, Clay, polish, two coats of wax on the car and rain- x on the glass.

Pretty happy with that for a days work!

Can’t wait to get up and head to the Euro Tunnel knowing she’s sparkling inside and out.

I polished my headlights with the meguires kit. I did it about two years ago and needed doing again.

I also had a quick look at why my air recirculation flap wasn't working. Took off the panel for micro filter and found the valve, and a connector hanging down.
Plugged back in and all works fine now. Don't know how long that was like that!
Cheap fix though. :D

Replaced a blown front indicator bulb. Not the easiest job in the world. Ended up jacking the car up to get some space for access.

Gone are the days of roadside bulb changes :headbang:

Nothing done to the Z4 today sadly, but I've put the anaemic 16" wheels with winter tyres on the E46. :(

And now I need a new trolley jack for Christmas as my 20+ year old cheapo broke half way through the job! (Then I'll be able to put the winters on the Z4). :)
Coupes because stunning!

Just treated myself to a new low profile trolley jack from SGS engineering. Only used it twice but it seems to be of decent quality. Very reasonable pricing too.

So, seeing as it was a gorgeous bright morning here I thought I'd take my "new to me" Z4 out for a blast in the daylight as I've only used it for commuting since I bought it 2 weeks ago!

Got home and thought I'd introduce it to my first love......... what a cracking couple they make! :D
