Recently did a few mods to the M,
and to celebrate I decided to make a nice in depth picture thread for everyone to see,

I've done quite a few picture threads now so I'm sure you used to the routine :D

Ok so what have I done,

Firstly lets go with the OEM CSL/ZCP rims,
Bought new from Evan at Tischer, I really can't say enough about these guys over there,
They are hands down the BEST online vendor I've ever dealt with and I buy ALL my BMW parts and accessories from them,
I encourage anyone who hasn't tried them to pay a visit to their site to see the phenomenal prices they have!

Go to http://www.getbmwparts.com Or Click the little banner below!
The guys there are awesome and have helped me with all my BMW's and shall continue to do in the future!
I really can't say enough good things about them, I'm sure everyone who has dealt with them knows what I'm on about!

But on to what the threads about, Pictures!

Paid (another) visit to BMW HQ for the pics,

Ok so we see the OEM CSL's in the pic,
Tires are Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's, I also fitted flush tire valve stems, I really like how they look, a little fiddly to add air but I like the look of no valve stem,

M8.jpg

We also see another exterior mod, The OEM Aero Side skirts,
Also bought from Tischer BMW ;) so BIG thanks again to Evan for hooking me up with those,

M2.jpg

M3.jpg

you can really see the sides stick out further with the aero sides,

M4.jpg

Also fitted,

Supersprint Powerloop exhaust,

M5.jpg

Beautiful exhaust, Wonderfully made and really beautiful installed,

The powerloop system has 2 pipes "looping" out the back to do something or other to the sound ( I never quite found out what EXACTLY the powerloop does ) but it costs $1000 more than the Supersprint Race exhaust!
Crazy!
But the sound of the powerloop is less aggressive and it actually quite exotic sounding,

Pics I found of the insides of the powerloop

(you can see the loops on the back of the Z4M muffler)

Ok so how it looks installed,

M9.jpg

M10.jpg

The sound is nice, Its not as loud as the Supersprint Race exhaust, I have heard that in person and although I did like it, I just found it was a little too much for me,
This is a perfect balance for me,
But to be honest, the new intake takes over the exhaust sound when you get above 4K revs!

That new intake is the holy grail of intakes itself,
The GruppeM :D

M12.jpg

M13.jpg

It is an awesome intake, and after owning the AFE and now the GruppeM I can see why people like it so much,
Its not a HUGE difference to the AFE, TBH I don't think most people would be able to tell the difference,
The sound is slightly more "bark" than the AFE, very CSL like,
obviously the look is miles better, it really is stunning,
I am thinking of coating the inside in heat reflective gold foil, I think that will look very good against the carbon,

Ok one final thing,
I had my OEM rear braces powder coated in white aluminum to match the OEM strut brace,
Its a perfect match and I love the way it looks,
Makes the engine look all caged in
I'm going to try to find some covers for the nuts, I have a few vendors online I'm looking at to order them from,

M11.jpg

M14.jpg

M15.jpg

Ok and thats it for now!

I'm really liking how the car is looking and sounding, That intake and exhaust really work in harmony with each other,

other mods I've done are, 4.10 gears, ESS Tune, and a RPI Scoop,
The car is noticeably faster with all these mods and I just love it!

I'll leave with one last "artsy" shot I took as I was leaving,
I rather like it

M16.jpg

Hope you enjoy the pics :D

Wow! I would love to see your car in person one day. Great job!

Can I request a ballpark estimate for the OEM CSL's? I really like them. :sweetheart:

tell him I sent you :p

Nice indeed!

Unfortunately, installing a GruppeM in the UK almost invalidates any mainstream insurance (so it seems).

Where did you get the radiator cover from? I still need that for my M (i.e. the hole where the other models have the radiator sticking through).

Car looks sweet mate...Loving the sideskirts and gruppe M ..Also the supersprint..Well I’m loving all of it tbh :P

Would like to hear that double loop supersprint in real life.

Do the M z4’s have different side skirts to the normal Z4 range? They should be fitted with those AERO’s from factory,Improves the look of the car so much.

Beautiful car.. commented on the other one but I think it's gone

The definitive Imola MR on CSLs.. proof if I ever needed it that it works well. I love my aeros too, subtle but look fantastic.

I really like the grille too.. what have you done, looks like it's been removed / painted red? The sound of the Gruppe M + Supersprints must be a great combo.

Yes I painted the outer ring of the grill Imola Red,
Really like the look, I think t would look best on a white car, but It looks good on the red too,

pvr, The radiator cover I made from a piece of counter top bought at home depot (B&Q)
and thats a shame about the GruppeM back home!, it was Sixspeed's car that turned me on to the GruppeM's in the first place!

Thanks for all the kind words guys

Strange that the UK deal for those were a lot, lot cheaper then that. There was a BMW dealer group buy on here somewhere that was below £200 for both sides, painted.

Are you sure? I seem to remember it being a lot more than that. I paid £450 for mine painted and thought that was a good deal.

Ok, slightly more - £290 painted as per the group buy : http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12855&hilit=side+skirts

Yeh just checked that, cracking price but I don't think he got 6 takers. £40 on top for the clips and gaskets.

"Pair of side skirts painted to match existing colour:

RRP Inc VAT £401.28 per pair.

3 orders (i.e. 3 Pairs) £300.96 per pair.

6 orders (i.e. 6 Pairs) £290.92 per pair.

This price is for supply of the skirts only and is for collection only.
Clips and gaskets can be included at a charge of £40.00 Inc VAT if required".
