Inexpensive Chinese Steering Wheel Wrap

Post by jmotsch » Wed Sep 20, 2017 6:39 pm

I thought i would try out an inexpensive MEWANT steering wheel wrap listed on Amazon. I have to say I am quite happy with it. The quality and feel is very nice. It shipped quickly . Customer service was very good and instructions were clear. Total install time was maybe 3 hours. It was really quite easy aside from parts of the top portion of the steering wheel. As you can see the seam line is a bit off on top. Overall very happy with the smooth slightly tacky feel of the cover. I would recommend to anyone that wants to freshen up their wheel for 25 bucks, and it was kind of fun. The kit comes with literally everything you need to do the job.

Not bad at all. Quite fancy trying that out. Might go for the amazon option though as heard some people have card issues with aliexpress. Anyone have any experience of them?

Used AliExpress twice recently with no issues. Not for the above though.

Hmmmm this is interesting for sure. My girls e60 550i steering wheel is a little rough. She went and got a Walmart cover πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I put it on as she requested and it immediately got taken off haha. Might have to order one of these.

No i did not remove the plastics, however while tucking the leather the front plastic plates did come part way off which made it a little easier to tuck the leather. Definitely post some pics when you are finished.

Might have to look into that, my wheels really starting to look quite worn. Any idea if this is the same shape for the M wheels as well? I had thought the M wheel was thicker so it might not fit. Although mines an 'Individual' wheel so who knows what i've actually got...

I am not sure if it would fit the M wheel. The seller is pretty quick to respond so you could ask. The listing says it will only fit wheels that look like mine.

Done. I like it. Got cramp in the hand about half way round. Not perfect, but good for the price.

From where. Do you mean the ones that just slip over the wheel?
