Hi Guy`s, will Z4M front calipers fit a E86 2008?

As far as I'm aware, yes. Check the How-to sections and the following thread for reference. viewtopic.php?f=24&t=8399
I'm doing a big brake upgrade too and sourced some tatty 330i calipers from ebay.
Cleaned them up to look like this

Just noticed this - do you have any 3 litre discs yet? Due to a change of plans I have a full set of barely used Pagid discs - if they'd be of any interest PM me.
Cheers, Iain.

Yes sorry I've already got some Brembo drilled discs otherwise I'd have snapped your hands off for them. Thanks for the thought though.

That's a shame, although the set I have aren't drilled.
Good luck with the upgrade.

The m front brake caliper brackets don't fit the si hubs. You can make the calipers themselves fit the si hub brackets but you will then need to grind the si brackets to accommodate the bigger m discs. I personally wouldn't be comfortable with having less strength on the mounting brackets...

Ah ok I take back my first answer then as I didn't know that.Ed Doe wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:26 pm The m front brake caliper brackets don't fit the si hubs. Best to follow the linked thread then to see which calipers fit which brakes / models etc.

If you're just using for road use, don't bother changing. If you are looking to track regularly then go down a proper BBK setup. Occasional track use, better fluid and pads.
Stock brakes a plenty good enough for road use, on track they just need more frequent stops.

FWIW I've done 2 trackdays at Goodwood on the OEM discs and pads, and whilst they're a bit wooden now from overheating they stood up pretty well. Obviously a bbk is ideal, but from personal experience you can get away without a brake upgrade for sometime first few times on track.
For the road, I'd certainly not bother with anything other than decent oe stuff and regular fluid changes. You just can't get close to the limit of the brakes for long enough to start cooking things on the road, unless you're being a serious plonker
Oh and thanatu55 I applaud your choice of refurb colour for the calipers - imo gold looks ace, particularly on a silver car
