Roof Motor - Big thanks to Marius
Roof motor moved into boot by Marius on Saturday. I consider myself fairly proficient with the spanners but must admit that wasnt a job I would tackle but come to think of it no spanners involved!. It seems it was the original motor and didnt want to give up its hiding place easily. When it did come out the casing was fairly corroded and it was only the foam strip across the terminals which was holding things in place. After removal one of the wires was completely rusted and fell apart. The hyraulic fluid was fairly low as well. So some cleaning up taking place this week but a big thanks to Marius for a good job and saving me future heartache - the hood was beginning to slow down when folding back.

It’s a good feeling once it’s moved, just keep an eye on your drainage holes now as mine caused my boot to get wet where the motor had been moved to!
On a side note, Marius?

Marius lives in Crawley, Surrey and I think he has carried out a number of roof motor relocations. Certainly wasnt much life left in my motor connections due to rust but nothing was actually wet and no water in the drainage holes. I think it is just 12 years of wet, dry wet dry that has corroded it.

How do I contact Marius? Do you have a email address for him or a phone number as Crawley is not a million miles away from me.
